Upcoming Events:

At our last Parent-advisory meeting we were given guidance on how best to communicate upcoming events and encourage parent-engagement in our school.  This post is one of the first of what will be a regular monthly posts including reminders of upcoming events and opportunities for parents, students, and our community to take part in the great things happening at Messalonskee.

Upcoming Events:

11/9 – MHS All-Sports Boosters meeting (6:00, MHS Library)  Note: This is now a 6-12 all-sports boosters!!!

11/10 – MHS Parent-Advisory meeting (See attached Agenda, we will be discussing the move from a 4 period block schedule to a 5 period block schedule and getting feedback on when to transition – 2016-17, or 2018-19)

11/11 – NO SCHOOL in observance of Veterans Day

11/12 – Winter Sports Informational Night (6:00, MHS PAC; all winter athletes & their families should attend)

11/13 – Report Cards sent home with students (in advisory)

11/16 – Winter Sports Tryouts/Practices begin

11/18 – District Board Policy Committee meeting (5:00, RSU18 central office)

11/19 – District Facilities Committee meeting (5:00, Belgrade Central School)

11/20 – MHS Drama Production: “The Sound of Music” (7:00, MHS Performing Arts Center)

11/21 – All-Sports Boosters Craft Fair (9:00AM – 5:00PM, MHS Cafeteria & Gymnasium),  MHS Drama Production: “The Sound of Music” (7:00, MHS Performing Arts Center)

11/22 – MHS Drama “The Sound of Music” (2:00, MHS Performing Arts Center)

11/25 – 11/27 – No School, Thanksgiving Break

11/26 – Thanksgiving Activities at MHS (contact Mike Perkins to help out!)

12/1 – MHS Junior/Senior Financial Aid Night (6:00, Thomas College, RSVP to MHS Guidance: dyork@rsu18.org)

We encourage you to get out and attend as many events as possible.
