Parent Advisory Meeting Tonight!

Our monthly parent-advisory meeting was moved to this Monday night (12/15) at 5:30 in the MHS Library.  We hope to see you there!

For those that are not familiar with the parent-advisory and what the group does I wanted to share a bit about the group and the format of the meetings.

Every MHS parent-advisory meeting follows the same general format:

1 – Introductions

2 – Review of questions / topics from the last meeting

3 – Presentation of new information, discussion & feedback

4 – Questions & discussion (those not answered saved for next time)

We find the parent-advisory group to be one of the more important meetings of our month, as it allows us to get ideas and feedback on the work we are doing at MHS.  Nearly every facet of our effort toward implementing a proficiency-based approach at Messalonskee has been directly or indirectly influenced by this group.

At tonight’s meeting we will be discussing MHS’s focus on learning experiences as students move toward proficiency.  We have done a lot of work in this area and believe our approach is balanced and takes into account the feedback this group has given us over the last two years.  We hope you will consider attending if you are free and able to make it!

Upcoming parent-advisory meeting dates (note that all meetings run from 5:30 – 6:30 in the library):

January 13
February 10
March 10
April 14
May 12
June 9
