Our School Spirit Challenge has been rescheduled for Tomorrow, February 13th, at 5:00 AM. Bus Routes Below:
Although I’m an early riser, believe me when I say that a 5:00AM pep-rally wasn’t something I was interested in (in the least…), until a student came to me and said “you talk about us getting engaged and taking action…” what is better than putting on our Eagle Pride for the whole state to see. I bought it, and so did our leadership team.
The thing we know about school is that it can’t be only about learning content. What we know, and what you know by being a part of our community, is that it’s a lot more about learning and developing one’s character. School needs to be a part of this; our stepping up and showing our spirit is about setting the example for not only the students in our school, but for everyone who’ll come through Messalonskee in the future. It’s about having fun, and doing something for someone else. It’s about stepping outside comfort zones to make things better for others and for the group.
YOU CAN COME, TOO! We have invited our alumni association and parents to come and take part in the rally, to take our spirit to another level and really demonstrate that MHS is a special place. We are hoping to have at least 30 parents and alumni to come and take part and be featured on Channel 13. Imagine how impressive it would be for us to have hundreds of students and alums together for an event like this! Complete the following survey monkey to share how you could support our efforts (in person or not!):
I’m tremendously proud to be the Principal at Messalonskee High School. It is an amazing place with fabulous teachers, students and a community that supports and loves its school. We hope that you will join us on February 13th at 5:00AM by coming out to show your Eagle Pride. Alumni – wear your red white and blue!
