Every Student Needs a Champion

A friend recently shared a powerful video that reminded me of the importance of relationships in education.  Below is Rita Pearson’s TED Talk.  While watching this video you can clearly feel her passion not only for her craft, but for the people she’s worked with over her years in education.  Ours is a human craft; the magic of learning is often unearthed through the connections we make with others.  Watch this video and consider how educators, all of us really, can make the connections that make the difference in the lives of our students.

Thank you for sharing Mr. Moody. Rita Pearson is very inspiring. She reminds me of how Mrs. Sammons teaches. Always treat the students with dignity and respect. You also do a good job of that!
