Messalonskee’s Team 2648 is World-Championship Bound!

Messalonskee’s Robotics Team won the Pine Tree Regional tournament that was held this past weekend, coming in first place out of a 39 team field, earning them a spot in the World Championships (April 25 through April 28) at the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis, MO.

Below is video of Messalonskee’s 6th consecutive win at the Pine Tree Regional (Lewiston, 4/5 – 4/6).

Congratulations to Coach Luce, to the many parent and community members who volunteered their time on behalf of our students, to WRABACON Inc. for the generous use of their space, and especially to our young people who are an inspiration to us all!

Additional details from Ms. Luce:
“After 83 Qualification Rounds, the team finished in 1st place, which meant we were the captain of the first place alliance. Our first selection was team 3467, Wyndham Windup, from Wyndham, NH, and our second selection was team 2386, The Trojans, from Burlington, Ontario, Canada.
We battled through the Quarterfinal and Semifinal rounds, and then after 3 VERY close rounds in the finals, I am honored to say that we WON!
The team was incredibly excited!!!!!
However, that was not the end of the awesome news! We also won the Engineering Inspiration Award, and Sabine Fontaine was selected as a FIRST Dean’s List Finalist.”
.
A truly amazing week for our students!
Finally, a video that shows what being at a robotics event is like (the entire time…)
