Painting Day: December 10

On December 10th MHS, our staff & student body, are hoping for community support in painting our school.  The goal of this day is to complete the work started by student c

ouncil last year, in which they painted the trim of the school (currently purple) in royal blue to match our school colors.

The goal of this project is two-fold:  1) we hope to bring the student body and larger school and local community together around a service project to better our school; 2) we want, through this painting project, to beautify the school and to increase the meaning it has for our students and community.  Ultimately, projects like this demonstrate for us all what it means to be a part of something larger than ourselves.

The painting project will focus on the main lobby, hallway, cafeteria and gymnasium and move out based on time and numbers.  Through an organized effort involvi

ng students, faculty and community volunteers, we are in hopes of painting much of the school’s trim in a very short span of time.

I am pleased to let you know that our school maintenance department has supported the effort and that Modern Woodman has generously donated $500.00 in paint for the project.

Manpower is the key to making this project a success.  If you or anyone you know is interested in supporting this effort please contact us at messalonskeehs@rsu18.org.

Above is the purple trim we will be painting blue.  Below – the blue trim that has already been completed by MHS Student Council.

Thank you to the Student Council for all their hard work on this project!!!
