Messalonskee’s “SCHOOL SPIRIT CHALLENGE”

Messalonskee High School, through the leadership of our Student Council, has signed up to take part in WGME’s 2014 School Spirit Challenge.  This effort, which involves a 5:00 AM Pep-Rally on January 3rd (really…!), is designed to encourage school spirit and use competition to raise money, food, and awareness for the Good Shepherd Food Bank of Maine.

As part of this effort Messalonskee will beginning a food drive starting this week and extending through February 28th.  There is much to be done, and we encourage you or people you know to reach out to us and help make this a successful campaign.  Starting with the Pep-Rally on January 3rd (again, 5:00 AM), we will need all the support we can get!

Additionally, the Male faculty and administration of MHS have decided to begin our own campaign to support this effort:  BEARDS-4-FOOD.

BEARDS-4-Food begins on January 3rd, and extends through the end of February.  We are asking any and all men from RSU18 to join us in raising money and food donations (yes, by growing beards) to support the School Spirit Challenge.  If you or someone you know is a man – download the forms below and sign-up!

If you are interested in helping out with the Pep-Rally, with donations, or taking part in any way, please don’t hesitate to contact us at messalonskeehs@rsu.org.
